The informed consumer can cast a vote on public policy
each and every day targeting their hard earned dollars towards businesses, like yours, that share a similar value system.
The Harris County Young Democrats are identifying “ble” businesses so that our consumption of goods
and services promote public policies with which we agree
We invite businesses to participate in Buy Blue-a
project that provides free advertising, which will target customers willing to put their money squarely
behind their principles. In addition, by selectively spending our dollars, those of us that share a similar value system can
advance the political principles we hold most dear each and every day.

Poison Girl Cocktail Bar 1641-B Westheimer at Dunlavy (Map) Please join the folks at Poison Girl on the first
Sunday of every month for "Drink Houston Better" when all profits are donated to a local non-profit. If you're
out, you might as well be drinking for a cause. Happy Hour (5pm-8pm) - $2 Wells & $2.50 Drafts. All the time - $2 Lone
Star $3 Shiner Draft $3 Jager "Poison Girl's got a strangely schizo feel to it.
Inside, the narrow bar and hipster/rocker clientele reminds you of a dive in Brooklyn's Williamsburg or San Francisco's
Mission District. Outside, though, the whole vibe shifts Texas-ward. There are picnic tables loaded with glasses of Bock beer,
pebbly dirt on the ground, lots of lush subtropical foliage...and the rear of Poison girl -- that peaked white clapboard facade.
What does it look like? You can't quite place it at first, but then it comes in a rush: Guene Hall. Somehow, even though
you're in the very heart of darkest Montrose, you feel like you're in the Texas Hill Country. That's one magic
patio, folks."
